The old concrete Water tanks for the fire suppression system at a Brisbane, QLD AU, Correctional Facility had severely degraded. Scope of works included disconnecting the fire suppression system from the tank supply while keeping it operable during the works, demolition and safe removal of existing concrete tanks, excavation of subgrade, construction of the high load bearing concrete slab, installation of new 60kL steel tanks and re-commissioning of the system.
